The Shape of Thoughts is an interactive free exhibition exploring what we carry inside — thoughts, emotions and experiences we rarely share.
Blending art, psychology and data visualisation, the exhibition creates a space for reflection, curiosity and connection.
Dates: 1–12 May
Opening hours: (come for as long or as little as you like)
Monday–Friday: 5:30pm – 9:00pm
Saturday: 2:00pm – 9:30pm
Sunday: 2:00pm – 7:30pm
Through a series of installations, you’re invited to contribute a thought, image or colour, becoming part of a live visual environment shaped by everyone who takes part.
Location: Stone & Chalk, 121 King Street, Melbourne CBD
Come by yourself and explore your internal world or come with a friend and take this as a moment to deepen your connection.
Explore the science of internal experiences while participating in examining yours and reading the thoughts of others.
An experimental format blending art psychology and data science to bring you a new way to look at mental health and the way we think about reflection.
The Shape of Thoughts is designed and directed by Jess Leondiou. Her work has been stocked by MONA (Museum of Old and New Art) and QAGOMA (Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art).
Jess will be at the exhibition each evening to welcome you, answer questions, and help guide your experience. If you’re curious about journaling and reflection, this is a chance to practise, take part, and explore the ideas behind the work.
